Panathinaikos evaluates roster reinforcements for EuroLeague

Panathinaikos is actively searching for a new center to bolster its roster, with a decision expected by mid-November. According to reports from journalist Jorgos Sifakis, the club is prioritizing the American market until November 15. Players such as James Wiseman and Charles Bassey are being monitored, as their potential availability could influence the club's strategy.

If a suitable solution is not found in the United States, Panathinaikos is expected to pivot toward European options. Malian player Ali Diarra has emerged as a primary target. Acquiring Diarra from Virtus would reportedly require a buyout of approximately one million euros, and the player would potentially receive a three-year contract with a salary significantly higher than his current earnings.

Ahead of upcoming EuroLeague fixtures, head coach Zeljko Obradovic addressed the high expectations following the team's strong start to the season. Obradovic emphasized the difficulty of the competition and the need to remain focused regardless of the opponent, noting that Anadolu Efes will be a particularly challenging matchup following their recent performance.
