Panathinaikos honors former president Giorgos Vardineoyannis

Panathinaikos FC held a memorial service at the OAKA stadium to honor the memory of former president Giorgos Vardineoyannis, who passed away at the age of 90. The tributes took place prior to the Super League match against Asteras AKTOR.

As part of the commemoration, players from both Panathinaikos and Asteras AKTOR participated in a symbolic gesture by leaving white roses in front of a portrait of Vardineoyannis located near the tunnel entrance. Panathinaikos players also wore black armbands during the match.

A minute of silence was observed at the stadium following a request by the club to honor the man who led the organization for 21 years.
