Panathinaikos launches SPOR FM TV streaming platform

Greek businessman Giannis Alafouzos is finalising the launch of SPOR FM TV, a subscription‑based digital platform that will broadcast Panathinaikos home matches in football and basketball, as well as other Greek Super League and Greek Basketball League games, the Greek Cup and Super Cup. The service is slated to begin in early October, with a public presentation scheduled for 21 September. A monthly subscription will cost €9.99, with annual packages and a 24‑hour daily pass also offered.

While the platform is being prepared, Panathinaikos’ home fixtures will continue to be shown on the free‑to‑air channel SKAI. SPOR FM TV is also recruiting experienced sports journalists, including Michalis Tsochos, Vasilis Skountis, Kostas Psarras, Elena Papadopoulou, Sotiris Kostavaras and Stefanos Abramidis, to staff its reporting, shows and commentary. The long‑term goal is to acquire rights to European club competitions and major foreign leagues from 2027 onward.
