Panathinaikos midfielder Azzedine Ounahi is set to undergo surgery following a second MRI scan that confirmed a complete rupture of the biceps femoris tendon in his right leg.

The Moroccan international is expected to be sidelined for five to six months, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the Stoiximan Super League regular season. If his recovery progresses as expected, he may return to action during the playoffs.
