Panathinaikos close to signing Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij

Panathinaikos is in the final stages of securing a contract with Dutch centre‑back Stefan de Vrij. The player's agent confirmed that negotiations are ongoing and that the club is working to lock in the deal. Reporter Fabrizio Romano posted that the Greek side and de Vrij have almost reached agreement, with only the player's final approval pending.

The proposed contract is a 1+1‑year deal with a reported €3 million annual salary, and the signing is expected to be completed on Monday, 29 June.
