Panathinaikos nears deal for Roma's Anas Salah-Eddine

Panathinaikos has reached an agreement with AS Roma to acquire Moroccan left-back Anas Salah-Eddine. The deal is structured as a loan with an optional purchase clause spanning the next four years.

The 24-year-old player has arrived in Athens to undergo medical examinations. An official announcement is expected on Monday, September 14. Salah-Eddine, a product of the Ajax academy, previously played for Twente and PSV Eindhoven before joining Roma in early 2025. His recent season included a loan spell at PSV, where he contributed to their Dutch championship win.
