Panathinaikos player Cyril Deser sees suspension reduced
Panathinaikos has successfully appealed the suspension of Nigerian striker Cyril Deser. The Appeals Committee reduced his initial three-match ban to a single match.
The reduction follows an appeal regarding a red card Deser received during a recent derby against PAOK. Panathinaikos argued that the incident, which involved contact with player Michailidis, should be classified as a ‘push’ rather than ‘violent conduct.’ The committee accepted the argument, noting the match report recorded the incident as ‘violent behavior’ rather than ‘assault.’
As a result, Deser will miss only the rescheduled Super League match against Kifisia. He is expected to be available for selection starting with the match against Panetolikos on Sunday.
