Panathinaikos player Sotiris Kontouris avoids serious injury

Panathinaikos midfielder Sotiris Kontouris has avoided a serious long-term injury following a medical examination. The player sustained a right knee injury while playing for the Greece U21 national team in a match against Georgia.

An MRI scan revealed a hematoma in his right knee, which is considered less severe than initially feared. Kontouris has been released from his national team duties and will return to Panathinaikos to begin treatment under the supervision of the club's medical staff. He is expected to be able to rejoin team training in approximately ten days.
