Panathinaikos defeats Kifisia 3-1 to reach Super League summit

Panathinaikos secured a 3-1 victory against Kifisia at OAKA in a rescheduled Super League match, moving to the top of the standings alongside Panetolikos. Goals for Panathinaikos were scored by Kanga, Vicente Tamborđa, and Rostäder.

The match was marked by significant controversy regarding officiating. Kifisia coach Sebastian Leto stated that a red card shown to Zolimbuoua in the 63rd minute fundamentally altered the outcome of the game. Additionally, a penalty awarded to Panathinaikos in the 80th minute following a VAR review for a handball by Antonise drew scrutiny, as replays suggested the arm was in a natural position.

Despite playing with ten men for much of the second half, Kifisia managed to equalize through Theodoridis in the 74th minute before Panathinaikos regained control. Panathinaikos coach Jakob Nielsen expressed satisfaction with the team's stability but noted a need for more clinical finishing during periods of dominance.
