Panathinaikos Retains Fakhoundo Pelistri After Coach Nistrup’s Approval

Uruguayan forward Fakhoundo Pelistri will stay with Greek club Panathinaikos for the upcoming season. Technical director (coach) Nistrup was convinced by Pelistri’s performances in recent training sessions and decided to keep him in the squad.

Pelistri is expected to form a key part of the team’s right‑side attack together with fellow forward Livai Garcia. The club had previously considered a possible transfer to Chalk, but recent injuries to other attackers and Pelistri’s improved form led to the decision to retain him. The move follows a period of injury setbacks for Pelistri and a lack of playing time last season, but the coaching staff now view him as a valuable option for the new campaign.
