Panathinaikos secures historic water polo Champions League qualification

Panathinaikos men's water polo team has secured a historic qualification for the Champions League group stage for the first time in the club's history.

Competing in the third qualifying group in Split, Croatia, the team achieved two wins in two matches. Their decisive victory came against the Hungarian side Honved with a final score of 9-7. Panathinaikos maintained control throughout the match, leading 9-5 early in the fourth period before Honved narrowed the gap late in the game.

With this result, Panathinaikos finishes at the top of their qualifying group. The team will await the group stage draw, which is scheduled to take place following the conclusion of the remaining qualifying matches.
