Panathinaikos signs Serbian volleyball player Jelena Delic

Panathinaikos has officially announced the signing of Serbian middle blocker Jelena Delic for its women's volleyball team. The 26-year-old athlete stands 1.93m tall and becomes the fifth foreign player on the club's current roster.

Delic brings significant international experience to the Greek side. She began her career with Red Star Belgrade, where she won a domestic double in the 2021-22 season. Her subsequent career includes two years in Germany with VfB Suhl LOTTO Thüringen, a stint with Nantes in France where she won the Super Cup, and most recently playing for CS Volei Alba-Blaj in Romania, where she won the Romanian Cup.

A Serbian international, Delic also recently earned a bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games. Upon joining the club, she expressed her enthusiasm for playing for one of Greece's top teams and her desire to help the organization achieve its goals.
