Panathinaikos stadium construction progresses in Botanikos

Construction of the new Panathinaikos stadium in Botanikos is progressing steadily, with recent footage revealing the scale of the interior works. New images show the stadium in a construction phase, highlighting the large scale of the facility, including the stands and primary structural elements. Significant progress has been made on the roof, where technical infrastructure such as ventilation networks, electromechanical installations, and metal grates are being installed.

According to Athens Mayor Haris Doukas, work on the four pillars is in its final stages ahead of the roof installation. Stands have already been placed on the eastern and western sides, while work continues on the northern and southern sections. If no unforeseen issues arise, the club is expected to begin playing at the new venue starting from the 2027-2028 season. The facility is intended to meet modern European standards.
