Panathinaikos targets Danish left‑back Victor Christensen

Greek club Panathinaikos is reportedly evaluating Danish international Victor Christensen as a possible addition to its defensive line‑up. The 22‑year‑old left‑back, who joined Leicester City in January 2023 for a fee of around €14 million, has struggled for game time after a knee injury sidelined him for most of the 2023‑24 season. He made only six appearances for Leicester before a loan spell at Bologna, where he featured in 34 matches and recorded four assists. Across his tenure with Leicester he accumulated 51 appearances and two assists.

Christensen, who has earned 18 caps for Denmark’s senior national team, is also linked to a potential return to his former club, FC Copenhagen, which has expressed interest in bringing him back. Panathinaikos’ coach Giakobo Nistrop, familiar with the player from his time in Copenhagen, is said to be closely monitoring the situation. The Greek side’s interest comes amid financial constraints, with any deal likely to be valued at around €5‑9 million.
