Panathinaikos targets SC Braga midfielder Vítor Carvalho

Panathinaikos is reportedly exploring the acquisition of Brazilian midfielder Vítor Carvalho from the Portuguese club SC Braga. The 29-year-old player, who is under contract with Braga until 2028, is noted for his versatility, having played as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, and center-back.

Reports indicate that Panathinaikos has been in contact with Braga to gather information on the player as they look to finalize their roster for the 2026-27 season. However, the Greek club faces competition for his signature. The Brazilian club Cruzeiro has expressed serious interest and has officially notified Braga of its intention to submit a formal offer, which is expected to be around four million euros.

Carvalho's career includes significant experience in the Portuguese league with Gil Vicente and Braga, as well as appearances in the Champions League and Europa League. He previously played for Corinthians in Brazil before moving to Europe in 2020.
