Panathinaikos FC to honor former players with season tickets

Panathinaikos FC owner Giannis Alafouzos has launched an initiative to honor former players who contributed to the club’s most significant historical achievements. The club will provide a free season ticket for the 2026-2027 season to every living player who has won a Greek Championship with the team or participated in historic European campaigns, including runs to the quarterfinals, semifinals, or the European Cup final.

The timing of this gesture is symbolic, as the 2026-2027 season marks the final period before the club moves to its new stadium in Botanikos. Providing these tickets also grants recipients priority rights for securing season tickets at the new venue.

The initiative includes foreign players who have remained in Greece and maintained strong ties to the club, such as Juan Ramón Rocha, Christof Vazachos, and Jozef Vátsik. For prominent former players currently living abroad, the club will ensure a reserved seat is available whenever they are in Athens and wish to attend matches.
