Panattoni launches 16,000‑sqm business park in Schwechat, Austria

Panattoni has acquired the former Hammerbrotwerke site in Schwechat, Austria, to develop the Panattoni Park Vienna East. The project will provide 16,050 sqm of rental space on a 31,800 sqm plot, including roughly 13,210 sqm of logistics area, 1,990 sqm of office and social space, 1,300 sqm of mezzanine, and parking for cars and trucks. The development targets users in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, airport logistics and service hubs.

The park is being built to DGNB Gold standards, with photovoltaic panels, district‑heat supply, green roofs and façades, electric‑vehicle charging stations and bicycle parking. Its location at the Vienna city limits offers direct access to Vienna‑Schwechat Airport, major road networks and public transport, and the city of Schwechat describes the project as a significant economic opportunity for the repurposed industrial site.
