Panchimalco folklore features a giant goblin legend

In the Panchimalco region, indigenous oral traditions describe a unique figure known as a giant goblin. Unlike the small creatures typically found in folklore, this being is characterized by its massive size, allowing it to hide among the treetops in forested areas.

Indigenous researcher Amílcar Ramírez describes the entity as a man dressed in black, sometimes wearing a hat, with red eyes and a smile that reveals teeth made of pure gold. The creature is said to inhabit the areas between the Azacualpa and Troncones sectors.

According to local legends, the giant goblin has the ability to grant special gifts to those who can overcome their fear to approach it. These gifts may include money or talents in music, crafts, painting, or sculpture.
