Špancirfest festival and youth football tournament set for Varaždin

The 28th edition of the Špancirfest festival in Varaždin is scheduled to take place from August 21 to August 30. This year’s program introduces several new features, including secret musical performances at undisclosed locations in the city. The festival will also feature a dedicated ice cream zone at Trg slobode and a new Italian-themed area called ‘Dolce Vita Garden’ located in the courtyard of the Sermage Palace.

Alongside the cultural festivities, the Špancir Kup 2026 international youth football tournament will be held during the first weekend of the festival, from August 21 to August 23. The tournament features various age categories, including U-13, players born in 2016, and players born in 2017. Due to construction work at the NK Sloboda stadium, the football matches will be relocated to the NK Udarnik 32 field in Gornji Kućan.
