Panda Express investigates food safety incident in Milwaukee

A video captured at a Panda Express location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, shows an employee cleaning a frying station while food was being prepared. The footage, recorded in early July, depicts a worker stepping between fry baskets to clean the exhaust hood area. During the process, a female employee is seen reaching through the worker's legs to place food into a basket, while the worker subsequently sprays cleaning chemicals and wipes the area directly above the food.

Panda Express stated that the behavior shown does not meet its food safety or workplace safety standards. A spokesperson confirmed that the company took immediate corrective action upon learning of the video, which included conducting retraining and reinforcing safety procedures with the restaurant team and the surrounding region.
