Indonesia: Regional initiatives focus on disaster readiness and public health

Various regional initiatives and administrative activities are being conducted across Indonesia to enhance community resilience, public health, and national security.

In Banten, 40 personnel from the Cilegon Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) participated in a joint disaster preparedness training session involving 320 participants from across the province. The training focused on technical skills such as public kitchen management, risk mapping, and emergency response.

In West Sumatra, Padang Panjang has become the first city in the province to declare a commitment to mosquito-free villages. This initiative aims to prevent Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) through sustainable mosquito larvae eradication at the household level.

In North Sumatra, the Medan City Government is collaborating with the Ministry of Defense to organize the assistance for the arrangement of land, health, and warehousing infrastructure to support national defense components.

Additionally, in Pandeglang, the National Integration Forum (FPK) held a development session in Menes to strengthen social unity and maintain public order through cooperation between government, military, and religious leaders.
