PANDION AG files for insolvency under self-administration

Cologne-based project developer PANDION AG has filed for insolvency proceedings under self-administration. The application, submitted to the competent insolvency court, includes several group companies: PANDION Real Estate GmbH, PANDION Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, PANDION Design GmbH, PANDION Projektmanagement GmbH, and PANDION Engineering GmbH.

The company cited a tense liquidity situation as the primary reason for the filing. Despite intensive restructuring efforts and previous measures—such as extending bond maturities and adjusting interest rates in October 2025—the group was unable to stabilize its finances following the loss of a key financing component in early August.

Through the requested self-administration process, the company aims to continue business operations and pursue a structured restructuring of the PANDION Group. The 2021/2028 corporate bond (ISIN: DE000A289YC5) is directly affected, though the specific impact on bondholders remains uncertain.

The Schutzgemeinschaft der Kapitalanleger e. V. (SdK) has called on bondholders to coordinate their interests. The SdK, which has been representing creditors for nearly a year, is offering free voting representation for upcoming creditor meetings.
