Pandora opens $150 million jewelry factory in Vietnam
Pandora has inaugurated a new $150 million jewelry production facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This marks the company’s first manufacturing site outside of Thailand, a location where it has concentrated production for nearly four decades.
The 7.5-hectare facility, located in the VSIP III Industrial Park, is designed to increase Pandora’s total global production capacity by approximately 50%. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to employ 7,000 workers and produce up to 60 million pieces of jewelry annually.
CEO Berta de Pablos-Barbier stated that the Vietnam facility will initially account for 15% of the company’s global capacity, with a target to represent one-third of total production by 2030. The move aims to diversify the supply chain and reduce reliance on silver market fluctuations by expanding platinum-plated lines. The facility has received LEED Gold certification and will operate using renewable electricity and recycled precious metals.
