Panče Toškovski asserts law applies equally to all ethnicities
North Macedonian Minister of Internal Affairs Panče Toškovski has asserted that the law applies equally to all citizens, regardless of their ethnic identity. Speaking in the Assembly in response to questions from MP Rina Ajdari of the European Front, Toškovski emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVR) operates strictly according to the Constitution and the law.
Toškovski criticized the political opposition for focusing on ethnic issues and spreading what he termed as untruths. Regarding recent violent incidents involving football fans in Tetovo, the Minister stated that both the MVR and the Public Prosecutor's Office are taking legal action against a large group of individuals involved in the unrest. He maintained that justice will be applied non-selectively to any documented perpetrator, whether they belong to the Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, or any other ethnic group.
