Panerai launches new 42mm Luminor watch models

Panerai has introduced three new 42mm models to its Luminor collection: the PAM01710, PAM01711, and PAM01714. These watches represent a departure from the brand’s traditional large-case proportions, offering a more compact and versatile size for daily wear while maintaining the robust tool-watch characteristics of the Luminor line.

The new models draw design inspiration from the brand’s 1990s era, specifically referencing the 1993 launch of the Luminor and Mare Nostrum series. This period marked Panerai’s transition from a military instrument provider to a globally recognized civilian brand.

The collection includes the PAM01710 with a stainless steel case and black dial, the PAM01711 featuring a green dial, and the PAM01714, which utilizes a black DLC-coated stainless steel case with a blue dial. Alessandro Ficarelli, Panerai’s marketing and heritage director, stated the goal was to honor the brand’s legacy while evolving the watches into contemporary performance instruments.
