Panerythraikos targets Elite League Final-4

Panerythraikos basketball coach Dimitris Chochoulis has announced his goal for the upcoming Elite League season: reaching the Final-4. Entering his 27th season with the club, Chochoulis emphasized a long-standing organizational philosophy that prioritizes development, moving players from youth academies through developmental programs to the senior team.

The team's roster strategy has shifted to provide more stability and experience. While previous seasons relied heavily on three to four Americans and a small group of experienced domestic players, the new roster features two Americans, five to six experienced Greek players, and four to five younger athletes. This change aims to move the team beyond merely avoiding play-outs toward competing for promotion.

Reflecting on last season, Chochoulis noted that while the team possessed the third-best offense, they struggled with the fourth-worst defense. The current objective is to finish as high as possible in the regular season to secure a position in the Final-4, which is a requirement for pursuing promotion under the current league format.
