Panetolikos coach Anastasiou criticizes team performance after loss

Panetolikos coach Giannis Anastasiou addressed his team's 3-0 defeat against Aris, which marked the club's seventh consecutive loss in the championship. Speaking after the match at the 'Kl. Vikelidis' stadium, Anastasiou highlighted the team's inefficiency and defensive errors.

He noted that Aris scored despite limited opportunities in the first half, while Panetolikos failed to capitalize on their own chances. Anastasiou specifically cited a “stupid reaction” leading to the second goal as a turning point that made the match difficult against a high-quality opponent.

The coach also pointed to squad limitations, mentioning that player absences have forced tactical shifts, such as playing left-footed players on the right wing. He expressed hope that returning players will help the team face upcoming opponents more effectively.
