Panetolikos coach criticizes team after 5-0 loss to AEK
Panetolikos head coach Giannis Anastasiou described his team's performance as 'disastrous' following a 5-0 defeat against AEK. Anastasiou highlighted significant defensive issues, noting that the squad lacked depth and was forced to find improvised solutions due to difficulties in multiple positions.
The coach criticized his players for making frequent errors and losing possession too easily, which allowed AEK to score quickly and maintain suffocating pressure throughout the match. He noted that while the team possesses quality, a lack of boldness in decision-making has made them vulnerable to punishment.
Looking ahead, Anastasiou stated that the team must react quickly before their upcoming match against OFI, emphasizing the need for more decisive and aggressive play to secure future victories.
