Panevėžys city property vandalism prompts use of “Tvarkau miestą” reporting app

In Panevėžys, instances of deliberate damage to public assets—including green spaces, bike‑repair stations, lighting and pavement—have been reported. The municipality notes that such vandalism requires additional budget resources for repair and maintenance.

Residents are encouraged to report any damage, illegal dumping, or other issues through the “Tvarkau miestą” mobile application or the city’s website, providing exact locations, photos and the option to remain anonymous. Reports are processed by the city’s communications department, and video‑surveillance footage can be used to identify perpetrators and handed over to competent authorities. In emergencies, citizens should call the 112 emergency number.

Timely reporting helps the city address problems faster, limit further damage and keep public spaces safe and usable for thousands of daily users.
