Panevėžys donates bus to Zdolbuniv for civilian evacuations

The Panevėžys City Municipality is donating a tourist bus to the Zdolbuniv City Municipality in Ukraine to support humanitarian efforts. The vehicle, a Neoplan N1116 with 40–50 seats, will be used to evacuate civilians—specifically women, children, and the elderly—from dangerous regions of Ukraine.

Zdolbuniv has become a refuge for those displaced by the war, leading to an increased need for transportation to move people safely. The donation follows a request from the Zdolbuniv community and has received a humanitarian aid recommendation from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The transfer is being facilitated through the charity fund ‘Nezlamnist. UA’. The bus is scheduled to depart from Panevėžys for Ukraine on August 11.
