Panevėžys hosts ‘Life Between Palms’ photography exhibition

The photography exhibitionLife Between Palms’ by Evaldas Lasys has opened in Panevėžys, marking the first stop of a tour across Lithuanian cities. The collection features 64 photographs that reveal the rarely seen lifecycle of cash, documenting processes from production and minting to counting, inspection, and destruction.

The exhibition provides a glimpse into the internal spaces of the Lithuanian Mint and the Bank of Lithuania, highlighting both technological processes and the human labor involved in managing currency. The works are displayed in two locations: the Panevėžys City Municipality and the Ceramics Pavilion of the Panevėžys City Art Gallery.

Following its initial presentation in Kaunas, the exhibition is scheduled to travel to various other cities, including Rokiškis, Ignalinai, and Radviliškis, through 2027. The project is organized by the Bank of Lithuania Money Museum and the Bank of Lithuania.
