Panevėžys launches integrated intercity and city bus ticket

From July, Panevėžys introduced an integrated ticket that lets passengers purchase a single fare covering both intercity bus trips and the city’s public‑transport services. The ticket is sold by UAB Kautra and can be bought through its website, partner sites (autobusubilietai.lt, eurolines.lt) and the "Bus tickets" mobile app.

When a passenger boards a city bus, the QR code on the ticket is scanned at the validator. The ticket remains valid for 30 minutes from the first scan, allowing transfers to other city buses within that period. It is issued for one passenger and includes legally defined transport concessions. The scheme is delivered in cooperation with the public‑transport authority Panevėžys Passenger Transport and follows similar integrated‑ticket services already operating in Vilnius, Klaipėda and Šiauliai.
