Panevėžys offers tax incentives for sports and culture supporters

The Panevėžys City Municipality is offering tax incentives to legal entities and individuals who financially support local sports, culture, and science activities. Applications for these benefits must be submitted by October 28.

Eligible supporters can receive a 50 percent reduction on 2026 land or state land rent taxes. The discount amount is capped at 50 percent of the total support provided during the current year, provided it does not exceed the supporter's calculated tax amount for that year.

To qualify, supporters must have a formal agreement with recipients, such as registered sports organizations, municipal or state-founded cultural institutions, or science-business cooperation entities. Required documentation includes tax declarations, certificates of settlement with state and municipal budgets, and completed questionnaires from the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania.
