Panevėžys traffic and bus route changes for August 1 triathlon

On August 1, Panevėžys will host the Open Lithuanian Medium‑Distance Triathlon Championship. To accommodate the race, municipal authorities will temporarily restrict or prohibit traffic on several streets, including Elektros, Vasario 16-osios, J. Urbšio, Respublikos, Taikos, Nemuno, J. Janonio, A. Jakšto, J. Basanavičiaus and Smėlynės.

Because of the road closures, a number of city bus routes will be altered on July 31 and August 1. Routes 4, 6, 6A, 7 and 12 (and additional routes such as 16) will follow detours that use alternate streets such as Smėlynės, Marijonų, Pažalvaičių, Vilniaus, Ramygalos and others. Passengers are advised to check the updated timetables before travelling.

These changes affect commuters and event participants in Panevėžys, Lithuania, for the day of the competition.
