Panicale hosts successful 14th edition of Fili in Trama textile festival

The fourteenth edition of ‘Fili in Trama’ has concluded in Panicale, marking a successful celebration of historical textile arts, lace, embroidery, and artistic craftsmanship. Organized by GAL Trasimeno-Orvietano and the association ‘La Trama di Anita’, the festival attracted thousands of visitors and industry professionals from across Italy.

The event featured approximately 70 selected exhibitors showcasing various handmade specialties, including macramé, bobbin lace (tombolo), and silk production workshops. A central highlight was the local ‘Ars Panicalensis’ tulle embroidery. The festival provided a significant economic boost to local businesses and hospitality services in the region.
