Panicale hosts international lace festival amid various Italian cultural events
Various cultural and community festivals are scheduled across Italy. In Panicale, the XIV edition of the international lace and embroidery festival, ‘Fili in Trama’, will take place from September 11 to 13. Organized by GAL Trasimeno-Orvietano, the event features exhibitions, workshops, and demonstrations from artisans across Italy and abroad. This edition commemorates the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis.
Other regional events include the Montemurlo Craft & Park festival, featuring local craft beers, food, and an American car exhibition. In Rome, the ‘A Fil di Spada’ fencing marathon will be held at the Piazza della Rotonda in front of the Pantheon, promoting social integration by featuring Olympic, Paralympic, and visually impaired athletes on the same platform.
Additionally, Tortona will host basketball-themed events and music shows, Terni will hold a multi-event weekend including comics and sports, and Baressa will celebrate its 33rd Almond Festival. In Perugia, the ‘Tanganica’ humor festival is set to return to Piazza Birago, offering workshops and performances exploring the relationship between humor and society.
