PanIIT Alumni India celebrates 20th anniversary in New Delhi
PanIIT Alumni India, the umbrella organization representing alumni from all 23 Indian Institutes of Technology, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a commemorative event in New Delhi. The gathering included policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to reflect on two decades of nation-building and discuss future goals.
Key attendees included Anurag Jain, CEO of NITI Aayog, and Rajendra Kumar, Secretary of the Department of Border Management within the Ministry of Home Affairs. The event also featured representatives from the Ministry of External Affairs, the National Health Authority, and UNESCO.
During the ceremony, a tribute was held for founding member Gyanesh Chaudhry. PanIIT Alumni India Chairman Prabhat Kumar stated that the organization aims to channel the collective expertise of its members toward solving India’s challenges, specifically supporting the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision. Founded in 2006, the non-profit now comprises a global community of over 500,000 alumni across India, North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
