Panini family TV series teaser released ahead of 2026 World Cup

On 13 July 2026, a teaser trailer was released for the upcoming Italian drama series “La famiglia Panini – L’avventura delle figurine”. The series will premiere on Rai 1 and Rai Play and dramatizes the night of 17 June 1970 when Italy defeated Germany 4‑3, a match celebrated across Italian towns such as Modena where figurines rained from the cathedral tower.

The production is directed by Letizia Lamartire and written by Monica Zapelli, Sofia Assirelli, Valentina Gaddi and Sebastiano Melloni, with a cast that includes Serena Rossi as Olga Cuoghi Panini, Simone Liberati, Federico Cesari, Benedetta Cimatti and others. It is produced by Indigo Film in collaboration with Rai Fiction, with financial support from Sanfelice 1893 Banca Popolare, the Ministry of Culture’s audiovisual fund, the Emilia‑Romagna Film Commission and several municipalities in the Modena area.
