Panjab University receives new research and innovation facilities

Panjab University CP Radhakrishnan scientific research tech innovation higher education

Vice-President of India and Ex-officio Chancellor of Panjab University, CP Radhakrishnan, visited the institution in Chandigarh to inaugurate new research and innovation facilities.

Radhakrishnan inaugurated the Advanced Instrumentation Facility at the Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility/Central Instrumentation Laboratories (SAIF/CIL). This facility includes five advanced scientific instruments: an Atomic Force Microscope, Raman Spectrometer, DNA Sequencer, Flow Cytometer, and FTIR Spectrometer. These tools are intended to bolster research in nanotechnology, materials science, environmental science, and genomics.

Additionally, the Vice-President inaugurated the Panjab University Tech Innovation Forum (PU-TIF), which was formed by transforming Bio-NEST into a Section 8 not-for-profit company. The forum aims to provide an institutional framework for advancing research, entrepreneurship, and technology development by connecting academia, industry, incubators, and investors.
