According to the actor, his official birth date is recorded as September 5, a date entered into his school documents by a teacher's suggestion. At the time of his school admission, his brother could only recall the month of September but forgot the specific day. The teacher advised using September 5, noting it was an auspicious date that would lead to great success.

While September 5 coincides with Teachers' Day in India—a day when Tripathi receives numerous well-wishes from fans and colleagues—his family celebrates his true birthday on September 28. Tripathi acknowledges both dates, dedicating the September 5 celebrations to his teachers and mentors.
