Panna farmers discover 4.70-carat gem-quality diamond

A group of farmers in the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh has discovered a 4.70-carat gem-quality diamond in a mine located in the Pati area. The discovery occurred within just 15 to 20 days of the group beginning their excavation work.

The diamond, which is estimated to have a market value of approximately Rs 15 lakh, has been officially deposited at the local Diamond Office following required verification processes. The stone is scheduled to be included in an upcoming auction, where its final market value will be determined.

The find was made by Badri Patel and five associates, including Ratan Singh Yadav, Bhikham Prasad Patel, and Ramchandra Dubey. The group intends to distribute the auction proceeds among the partners according to established procedures. The individuals expressed plans to use the funds for personal milestones, such as constructing new homes and funding family needs.
