Pannónia cinema network to host ‘The Lord of the Rings’ marathon

The Pannónia cinema network is hosting a marathon of the ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy in Hungary to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film series. Starting September 10, the event will feature digitally remastered 4K director's cuts approved by Peter Jackson.

The marathon will span three weeks across several locations, including Cinema MOM, Pólus Mozi, GoBuda Mozi, and Lurdy Mozi. The schedule is organized by film: ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ will screen from September 10 to 16, ‘The Two Towers’ from September 17 to 23, and ‘The Return of the King’ from September 24 to 30.

Screening times vary by location, with start times ranging from 17:30 to 18:30. While most venues will provide synchronized audio, Cinema MOM will offer the films exclusively with subtitles. The total runtime for the trilogy is approximately 686 minutes.
