Pannonian autumn wine festivals and nature events scheduled for 2026

The Pannonian region is entering its autumn season, marked by wine harvests and cultural festivities in Austria and Hungary.

In Burgenland, Austria, the season features regional specialties and nature-focused events. A series of Nature Experience Days is scheduled from October 1 to 11, 2026, involving over 30 events. These activities, led by rangers and nature educators, take place in the Neusiedler See–Seewinkel National Park and six other nature parks.

In Hungary, various wine festivals are scheduled throughout the autumn of 2026. Key events include the 36th Budafok Sparkling Wine and Wine Festival from September 4 to 6, and the 35th Budapest Wine Festival from September 9 to 12 at Budapest Castle. Other regional celebrations include the Ürgeöntés harvest festival in Biatorbágy on September 5, the Budajenő wine festival from September 11 to 13, and the Etyek Autumn Picnic on October 10 and 11.
