Pan’s Labyrinth receives 20th anniversary 4K release

To mark the 20th anniversary of Guillermo del Toro’s dark fantasy masterpiece “Pan’s Labyrinth”, Studiocanal is releasing a limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook in Germany. This new edition features a 4K restoration personally supervised by del Toro, potentially offering improved image quality over previous international releases that relied on upscaled 2K masters.

Actor Doug Jones, who portrayed the Faun and the Pale Man, recently reflected on the production of the 2006 film. Jones shared insights into the challenges of the role, including the requirement to perform in Spanish and the physical demands of creature acting. The film is also scheduled for theatrical re-releases in 4K, 3D, and HDR formats.
