Panserraikos turns club crest black after historic 8-1 loss to AEK

Panserraikos, a Greek second-division football club, changed its official social media crest to black following a historic 8-1 defeat against AEK Athens in the Greek Cup. The club did not provide an official explanation for the visual change, but the move has been widely interpreted by media and fans as a symbolic gesture of mourning or grief following their heaviest loss in club history.

AEK Athens dominated the match, leading 6-0 by halftime. AEK captain Petros Mantalos played a decisive role, scoring one goal and providing four assists. The goals for AEK were also contributed by Vargas, Alexiou, Joao Mario, Vitalis, and Zubkov. Panserraikos managed a single goal through Iiadis during stoppage time.
