Panta Mosleh's Queer Comedy 'Pass the Salt' Adds New Cast Members

Director and lead actor Panta Mosleh announced that his interfaith queer comedy *Pass the Salt* has expanded its ensemble with Amanda Wear, Adam Fox and Nathaniel Vass. The story follows a sheltered Muslim‑Iranian graduate student who falls in love with a young Jewish woman, confronting family expectations and cultural boundaries.

The production is slated to begin in Vancouver, Canada, as both a feature film for Hollywood Suite and a six‑part series for OUTtv. Mosleh will portray the lead, Parmiss Mansour, while Wear and Fox play his love interest Nava and a supporting role Alex, respectively, and Vass appears as Dickie. Executive producers include Alexandre Coscas, Michael Goldstein, Aidan Heatley, Ronny Kurland, Connor Slatkoff Sharpe and Anthony Q. Farrell, with financing from the Bell Fund, Canada Media Fund and Creative B.C.

OUTtv COO Philip Webb highlighted the project’s “unique and intersectional take on the romance genre,” and Hollywood Suite senior programming manager Suzanne Marshall praised the chemistry between the two leads.
