Pantaleo Corvino discusses Inter Milan transfer rumors and future career

Football executive Pantaleo Corvino has shared insights regarding past transfer market developments and his professional future. In a recent interview, Corvino revealed that a high-profile transfer involving Luca Toni to Inter Milan was nearly completed, with documents prepared for a 25 million euro deal between Inter and Fiorentina. However, the move collapsed when the Calciopoli scandal broke, leading the Della Valle family to withdraw.

Corvino also addressed rumors regarding Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel, clarifying that while the player attracted interest from Premier League clubs, he was never close to joining Inter.

Regarding his own career, Corvino has reportedly been seeking opportunities following his tenure at Lecce. While he had long desired to work with Genoa, the club opted for a different management structure. Currently, speculation suggests a potential move to Taranto, a club in the Eccellenza championship, though no formal agreement has been reached.
