Panteón Rococó debuts on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts
Mexican ska band Panteón Rococó made their debut on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts, performing a 20-minute set as part of ‘El Tiny,’ a special programming series celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
The group performed five songs, including ‘Arréglame el alma’, ‘1993…’, ‘Cha-Cha Love’, ‘La dosis perfecta’, and ‘La carencia’. During the performance, vocalist Dr. Shenka dedicated the song ‘1993…’ to the missing persons in Mexico, expressing a message of longing and hope for their families.
In addition to addressing domestic issues, the band incorporated social messages into their appearance. Members wore clothing expressing solidarity with Palestine, support for migrant communities, and opposition to racism and fascism.
