Les Aigles du Congo to face APR FC in CAF Champions League

FC Les Aigles du Congo is preparing to face Rwanda's APR FC in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. Due to the lack of a certified stadium in Kinshasa, the Congolese club will host the match at the Frédéric Kibasa Maliba stadium in Lubumbashi.

Head coach Alberto Samsó expressed his ambition to maximize the team's performance over the 180 minutes of the two-legged tie, noting that the squad has gained maturity since their previous continental campaign. Despite the logistical challenge of playing away from their usual home, the team aims to secure a decisive advantage in the first leg.

However, the match will be played behind closed doors following a decision by provincial authorities and CAF for security reasons. Star striker Glody Kikwama Mujinga stated that the team is not intimidated by the lack of crowd support and remains focused on securing a victory to advance to the next stage.
