Pantu District infrastructure projects valued at RM500 million proposed

Thirteen proposed and ongoing infrastructure projects, valued at approximately RM500 million, are set to support development in the Pantu District. The initiatives involve funding from the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA), the Sri Aman District Council (MDSA), and various other government agencies.

A primary component of this development is the 42-kilometre Muding-Tuba-Mentu Road, estimated to cost RM265.5 million. This project is being implemented by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) and the Public Works Department (JKR).

Other significant road projects include the Menangknin/Menuang Road (RM77.5 million), the Batang Strap-Sapak-Isu-Munggu Ubah road (RM60.3 million), and the Jalan Sebemban/Gayau project (RM38.2 million), which has already entered the tender stage. The Jalan Munggu Ubah project is expected to reach completion by May 2027.

Additional infrastructure plans include a RM6 million drainage project, the construction of a Pantu Jetty valued at RM2.3 million, and several rural access roads for orchards and farms, such as the Kampung Limau orchard road and the Abok orchard road.
